Stroke Rehabilitation Program

New England Rehabilitation Hospital is please to announce our telemedicine program in conjunction with the MGH Neurologist Project Leader, for stroke patients from Massachusetts General Hospital. The telemedicine program is a live videoconference session between New England Rehabilitation Hospital physicians and Neurologists from Massachusetts General Hospital. This state of the art technology is to provide diagnostic and therapeutic medical information between patient and doctor without either of them having to travel.

Senior Stroke

The senior stroke program at New England Rehabilitation Hospital provides comprehensive interdisciplinary rehabilitation to individuals who have sustained a stroke. The program's focus is to utilize a team approach to provide assessment of physical, social, cognitive, communication and psychological needs. The senior stroke program offers the following services. Technical support via on site laboratory, x-ray, and video-flouroscopy, warm water pool to enhance abilities on land, and interdisciplinary seating and brace clinic, driving evaluation, and psychological support.

Young Stroke

The young stroke program at New England Rehabilitation Hospital provides comprehensive interdisciplinary rehabilitation to young adults who have sustained a stroke. One of the first programs of it's kind established in the United States, it's focus is the individual's return to a higher level of functioning, including work, driving, family and community responsibilities. Technical support via on site laboratory, x-ray, and video-flouroscopy, warm water pool to enhance abilities on land, and interdisciplinary seating and brace clinic, driving evaluation, and psychological support.
