Movement Disorders Program
New England Rehabilitation Hospital offers a program designed to meet the needs of individuals with progressive neurologic disabilities. The program's comprehensive capacity includes expertise in evaluation, prognosis, long term rehabilitation planning, disability-related medical disorders, and readiness to manage future bouts of disability. The program emphasizes efficient rehabilitative management of chronic progressive neurological disorders via realistic goal setting and short, goal-directed courses of treatment. Patient and family education focus on ongoing symptom management and health maintenance to enable optimal functioning and quality of life throughout the course of the disease.
