Rooms and Accommodations

New England Rehabilitation Hospital's main campus has five inpatient patient units. Each has a team of rehabilitation professionals trained to meet the specialized needs of patients in that unit.

All rooms have a television, individual patient bureaus, personal wardrobe closets and a bedside telephone. The TV and the telephone are provided for a nominal fee per day.

Each of the patient units has designated gym space, which is specialized for the patient population that it serves. For example the cardiac gym is a bright airy space with cardiac monitoring equipment and gym equipment such as treadmills, upper extremity arm bikes, and rowing machines. Other gyms have full kitchen where patients can practice activities of daily living. New England Rehabilitation Hospital also is fortunate to be able to offer patients access to a functional living apartment. The apartment allows patients to practice skills learned in the gyms in a homelike setting.

Visitors are also welcome to frequent our full service first floor cafeteria, and first floor patio overlooking a lush country club.

New England Rehabilitation Hospital at Lowell

Rooms and Accommodations
New England Rehabilitation Hospital Satellite in Lowell is a 22-bed acute rehabilitation unit. The treatment team in Lowell is trained to meet the specialized needs of patients requiring rehabilitation.

All rooms have individualized bureaus, personal wardrobe closets, a bedside television and telephone. The TV and the telephone are provided for a nominal fee per day.

The patient unit has designated gym spaces. These areas are a bright airy space with gym equipment such as treadmills, upper extremity arm bikes, and other therapeutic equipment. There is a full kitchen where patients can practice activities of daily living.

Meals
Meals are planned daily by your nutritionist and physician to account for your current medical needs. Patients may eat lunch or dinner with their family on the unit. We have a room service system where you are able to order what you prefer for meals based on your diet at the time you wish to eat. We also have a meal voucher program where visitors can order and join the patient for a meal.

The cafeteria is open for visitors with the following hours:
Breakfast 7:00-10:00 a.m.
Lunch 11:30-1:30 p.m.

Rooms and Accommodations
New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Danvers is a 20 bed inpatient satellite unit including twelve private rooms, two semi -private rooms, and one 4 bed room.

All rooms have individual patient bureaus, personal wardrobe closets, a television and telephone. The TV and the telephone are provided for a nominal fee per day.

The patient unit has 2 designated gym spaces. These areas are a bright airy space with gym equipment such as treadmills, upper extremity arm bikes, and rowing machines. There is a full kitchen where patients can practice activities of daily living.

Meals
Meals are planned daily by your nutritionist and physician to account for your current medical needs. Patients select meals from menus provided by the dietary staff. Snacks are available throughout the day.
