Focus: Dr. Vox provides comprehensive medical care for people who have acquired a brain injury from trauma or disease, treating the cognitive, psychological and physical problems related to such injuries. He works across the continuum of care from inpatient rehabilitation to long-term recovery in the community. Dr. Vox's approach begins with specialized neurological assessment and the maximization of neurorehabilitative treatments. He provides neurobehavioral and neuropharmacological management for some of the most complex problems that can arise after head injury, those dealing with our personalities, our relationships with each another, and consciousness itself. For the physical problems associated with brain injury, Dr. Vox employs a number of interventions including musculoskeletal medicine techniques (including targeted injections if needed) and manages muscle control problems such as spasticity that may limit function or cause pain (using Botox and Intrathecal Baclofen if needed).
